BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Following two impressive performances last week to lead Florida Tech women’s basketball to road victories over Sunshine State Conference foes Eckerd and Florida Southern, Shequana Harris was named the conference’s player of the week for Nov. 30 to Dec. 6.

It is second time she has received the honor this season.

Over the two games, Harris averaged 20.5 points, six rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. She was efficient from the field during the week, converting 50 percent of her attempts, including half of her shots from three-point range.

Harris was a dominant force against Eckerd, recording her fourth 20-plus point game of the season in the Panthers’ 69-49 rout of the Tritons on Wednesday. The junior finished with a game-high 22 points and matched a career-high with eight rebounds to go along with four assists.

In the third quarter alone, she connected on 3-of-4 from the field, including both attempts from beyond the arc as the Panthers slowly instilled their will on the Tritons.

The Bronx, New York native provided another all-around performance on Saturday to help the Panthers knock-off previously undefeated Florida Southern 73-61.
