Coast Guard: Missing Kayaker Near Titusville Found Safe

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The missing kayaker who was reported missing near Titusville has been found safely, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue.

According to WKMG in Orlando, Vincent Caione, 65, communicated with his wife around 4 p.m. Saturday before leaving the Biolab Boat Ramp in Titusville.

Later, Caione said that his engine had died and he was lost in the area of Eddy Creek.

Officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and Brevard County Fire Rescue teamed up with the Coast Guard to search for Caione, who was later found safely.

No injuries were reported.
