About Melbourne Alumnae Panhellenic

The mosquitoes were the size of prehistoric dinosaurs; alligators swam in the Intracoastal; and the US space program was in its infancy.  A group of college educated, intrepid women gave up their careers and followed their space pioneer husbands to Brevard County, FL.  In 1959, these women banded together to form MAP.  Their goal was to assist other young women with college expenses and continue the bonds of sisterhood well beyond the college sorority years.

Since that time, MAP has given out over $300,000.00 in college scholarships to Brevard County girls attending FL colleges.  Our hope is these girls will stay in our FL. paradise, return to Brevard County empowered by their education and make positive community contributions.
