BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – According to the National Weather Service, a strengthening low pressure area will bring a threat of severe severe thunderstorms overnight hours into early Sunday morning.

The primary threats will be damaging straight line winds and isolated tornadoes.

The severe weather potential with this system is higher than occurred on Friday.

Overnight severe weather can be especially dangerous, since most people are sleeping.

It is critical that you have a severe weather plan so you can act quickly and a way to receive severe weather warnings before you go to sleep tonight!

Your severe weather plan should include multiple ways of receiving weather warnings including NOAA Weather Radio (programmed, with fresh batteries), TV and cell phones.
