Widespread rainfall and embedded storms will cross the region along and ahead of a slow moving front Wednesday into Thursday. (NWS image)

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Widespread rainfall and embedded storms will cross the region along and ahead of a slow moving front Wednesday into Thursday.

Heavy rainfall will be possible during this period, as well as localized, mainly minor, flooding issues.

A few stronger storms will also be possible tomorrow into tomorrow night with an isolated threat for severe weather.

Thursday…Showers and a chance of thunderstorms in the morning…Then showers likely and a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 70s. West winds 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 80 percent.
