Titan Softball Opens Season With Doubleheader Split, Tripleheader Due Up Saturday

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida’s softball team launched its 2016 season with a win and a loss at the three-day JUCO Kickoff Classic and Showcase in Clearwater on Friday.
The Titans beat Gordon College 9-2 in their opener but then lost 8-2 to Daytona State College.
Eastern Florida plays three games on Saturday: 9 a.m. vs. Gulf Coast State College; 2:20 p.m. vs. Odessa College and 3:20 p.m. vs. Santa Fe College.
The Titans wrap things up with an 11 a.m. Sunday matchup with Hillsborough Community College.
