BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – On the heels of announcing K-9 Boton’s retirement, the West Melbourne Police Department would like to welcome K-9 Kai to our family.

K-9 Officer Kenny now has his new partner, K-9 Kai, a 19 month old German Shepherd. K-9 Kai was purchased from seizure funds at no taxpayer cost.

The department selected him from Metro Dade K9 Services, owned/operated by Tony Guzman.

Special thanks to Metro Dade K9 and Police Canine Consultants for all of their assistance during the selection progress.

K-9 Officer Kenny and K-9 Kai are now headed to K-9 training school.
