BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – “Bones” was brought in by an Animal Enforcement Officer last week as a stray and was only 37 pounds – and terrified.

It wasn’t surprising that he came up heartworm and roundworm positive, so he started receiving medication to help him feel better.

“Bones” was also given a nice bath during which he was a very good boy. He started being fed four small dry/canned mix meals a day of I/D dog food to be easy on his stomach.

Thursday morning he was transported from the North Animal Care Center shelter to the South shelter to see the vet. He has slowly started opening up and even wagged his tail today and played with toys.

He is gaining weigh and Mr. Bones’ stray hold was up Sunday and he is now ready to bust out! He’s available for adoption, rescue, or ambassador foster, although rescue is recommended.
