BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue units from Station 43 responded to an aircraft incident at Merritt Island Airport this morning at approximately 11 a.m.

According to BCFR, the aircraft was a biplane and veered off the runway while landing.

There were no injuries to the pilot reported, who refused transport for medical treatment, and BCFR said there were no other hazards.

At this time it is not known why the aircraft veered off the runway.
