By Space Coast Daily // February 1, 2016
REMOVAL WILL START SUNDAY NIGHT
The Central Florida Expressway Authority began work Sunday to remove the State Road 528 Airport Toll Plaza. The tolls currently being collected at the Airport Toll Plaza will now be collected by Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise at the Beachline West Toll Plaza.
SunPass customers will pay a combined toll of $1.88 at the Beachline West Toll Plaza; $0.79 represents the Florida’s Turnpike toll amount and $1.09 represents the Central Florida Expressway Authority toll amount. Additional tolls will apply for vehicles with more than two axles.
With this combined $1.88 toll structure, SunPass customers who use the Boggy Creek Road interchange are eligible for a $1.09 rebate for the following trips:
• Customers entering SR 528 westbound at Boggy Creek Road and passing through the Beachline West Plaza.
• Customers traveling eastbound on SR 528 passing through the Beachline West Plaza and then exiting at Boggy Creek Road.
To be eligible for the rebate, your SunPass transponder must be properly mounted on your windshield and your account must be in good standing. The rebate will be automatically reflected on your account activity. You can view your account at www.sunpass.com.
According to the Central Florida Expressway Authority, these changes along State Road 528 are designed to improve safety, enhance convenience and provide a more efficient travel experience.
