BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The City of Palm Bay has instituted the CodeRED Emergency Notification System.

The ultra-high speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications allows us to telephone all or targeted areas of the City in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action.

The system is capable of dialing 60,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers our recorded message to a person or an answering machine, making three attempts to connect to any number.

The CodeRED system will be utilized to notify citizens of: drinking water contamination, evacuation notices and routes, missing persons, fires or floods, bomb threats, hostage situations, chemical spills or gas leaks, and other emergency incidents where rapid and accurate notification is essential for life safety.
