UPDATE: Fatal Crash In Titusville, Results From A Pedestrian vs Vehicle

UPDATE: Florida Highway Patrol has determined the incident Friday night was the result of a vehicle colliding with a pedestrian walking within in the outside lane on US 1.
The 2002 Chevrolet Venture, driven by a 54-year-old woman, Frances Bailey, struck the pedestrian within the lane. The impact caused the pedestrian to land within the travel lane.
The identity of the pedestrian is not yet known.
Alcohol was not a factor for the driver.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Rescue Crews have responded to a fatal crash near the 7700 block off U.S. 1 Highway Friday night.
According to Brevard Fire Rescue, the crash has resulted in a temporary shut down of northbound U.S. 1 Highway near Pintos Lounge.
Florida Highway Patrol is now investigating the incident.
