Ohio Man Killed In Three-Vehicle Crash In Titusville Saturday Afternoon

One person has been killed in a vehicle crash on U.S. 1 near The Wet Spot Bar, located at 3650 Dixie Highway NE, at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Monday, according to the Palm Bay Police Department.
At around 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Titusville Police responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries involving three vehicles at the intersection of Columbia Blvd and Windover Trail, according to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – At around 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Titusville Police responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries involving three vehicles at the intersection of Columbia Blvd and Windover Trail, according to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department. 

The preliminary investigation revealed that Kimberly Ann Mulligan, 25, of Cocoa, driving a 2006 Chevy, ran the red light at the intersection and hit the driver’s side of James L. Mahaney Jr.’s 2004 Ford truck.

Mahaney, 66, of Ohio, was air lifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead at approximately 5:30 p.m, according to Matthews.

Ms. Mulligan sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

A 2011 Hyundai was damaged by flying debris from the initial crash and no passengers were injured in the vehicle.

An investigation of the traffic crash homicide is currently being conducted by the Titusville Police Department.
