BREVARD COUNTY • INDIALANTIC, FLORIDA – Brevard County Rescue responded to a distressed beached dolphin that later died on Friday night.

“Sometimes, our patients are not human, Brevard County Fire Rescue personnel from Station 63 and bystanders, with telephone guidance from the Hubbs-Seaworld Research Institute, helped a stranded porpoise on the beach near Crowne Plaza,” BCFR said in a Facebook post.

“The BCFR crew moved and revived the marine mammal until State Officials and a Sea World veterinarian could arrive. Unfortunately, the animal did not survive.”
