BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue alongside with other local agencies battled a brush fire near SR-407 on Friday.

The brush fire is now being reported as 100 percent contained. Due to low visibility, State Road 407 remains closed.

Brevard County Fire Rescue will monitor the visibility through the night and determine when to re-open the road.

Officials urge drivers to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
