EFSC Titans Sweep Miami-Dade To Run Win Streak To 6 Straight

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Karli Smith drew a bases loaded walk to score Rosie Lyard with the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Eastern Florida State College softball team defeated Miami-Dade 6-5 to complete a doubleheader sweep Tuesday night on the Palm Bay campus.

Smith also homered in the game. Lyard went 2 for 5 for the Titans. Mackenzie Soughers also went 2 for 4. Pitcher Alexa Snyder got the win, her second of the day.

EFSC won the first game 7-1 with the help of a three-run double by Smith. Taylor Zitillieo went 2 for 2.

The Titans (17-15 overall, 5-1 Southern Conference) have now won six straight games.

EFSC will be back in action Friday when the Titans visit Indian River State College.
