BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol reported that two trucks collided early Wednesday morning about 3:10 a.m. on I-95 at Mile Marker 187 in Melbourne.

A semi truck carrying Busch beer, driven by Roberto Ferrer Rodriguez, 54, of Miami, was traveling southbound on I-95, in the right lane.  Meanwhile, a Frito-Lay box truck carrying chips, driven by Zachary Basinger, 29, of Melbourne was stopped on the right shoulder in the southbound on I-95 lanes.

According to FHP, Rodriguez said he attempted to move into the center lane of I-95. Another vehicle was in the center lane and Rodriguez swerved back into the right lane and then continued onto the paved shoulder.
