BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Shower and storm chances increase by this afternoon.

Scattered to numerous showers and storms will move toward the east coast from the interior sections, pushing off the east coast during the late afternoon and early evening hours.

The main threats with storms will be cloud to ground lightning strikes, heavy downpours and gusts to 40 mph.

Sunday – Considerable cloudiness. A slight chance of showers late in the morning. A chance of showers and a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 80s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Sunday Night – Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Lows in the upper 60s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent. 

Monday – Considerable cloudiness with a slight chance of showers in the morning…Then partly sunny in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday Night – Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 60s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday – Sunny. Highs in the upper 70s.

Tuesday Night – Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 60s.
