President Barack Obama Named Fourth Highest-Paid World Leader
By Space Coast Daily // March 21, 2016
A report by 24/7 Wall St. reveals that of the 20 highest-paid world leaders, President Barack Obama ranks No. 4 with an annual salary of $400,000.
The highest-paid leader is Singapore’s Lee Hsien Loong at $1.76 million a year. Loong has been in office for nearly 12 years.
Iceland Prime Minister Sigmundur Davio Gunnlaugsson has the lowest salary of the 20 leaders, with an annual salary of $133,729.
The 24/7 Wall St. report did not include leaders of absolute monarchies and of a number of constitutional monarchies, who are among the wealthiest people on the planet.
They were excluded from the website’s list, because incomes of sultans, emirs and kings are frequently unavailable.
