BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On April 21st our annual “Speedy DeWitt” competition in honor and namesake of Captain Speedy DeWitt, will be held to raise money for the Brevard County Public Safety Charity.

While the shooting competition is only open to Law Enforcement and Active Duty Military Police there are plenty of ways that our citizens can help out for a very worthy cause.

This year’s shooting course will present each two-person team with a challenging scenario, requiring participants to think and shoot their way through a “Hogan’s Alley” style pistol/rifle course. Teams will shoot from a variety of positions, using cover and identifying appropriate targets.

The cost is $20.00 per 2 man team to run the event and receive the event shirt as well. SWAT and SRT can participate in a separate category (swat category), yet the course is the same. Prizes will be given to the top 1st places in both (open, swat) categories. The rules only allow Sworn Law Enforcement to participate, to include active Military Police at PAFB and US Coast Guard.
