Eastern Florida State’s Alexa Snyder Throws No-Hitter, Titans Sweep Doubleheader

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College softball team swept a doubleheader from Broward College Thursday by a combined score of 31-2.

Sophomore pitcher Alexa Snyder threw a five-inning no-hitter logging six strikeouts as the Titans took the second game 11-0. A 13-run fourth inning gave the Titans a 20-2 victory in the first game.

Mackenzie Soughers went 2 for 3 with five RBIs in that first game win. Karli Smith hit a three-run homer.

In the second game, Hannah Roberts went 2 for 3 and Tamara Warren had a triple and scored a run.

The games were rescheduled after an earlier rainout.

EFSC is now 19-17 overall and 7-3 in the Southern Conference.

The Titans will begin play in the conference tournament on Saturday at Palm Beach State College, where they will face Indian River State College at 2 p.m. and Broward at 6 p.m. The tournament is using a round-robin format.
