Breitling Jet Team

The Breitling Jet Team will kickoff their 2016 American Tour at the Melbourne Air and Space Show sponsored by Northrop Grumman, April 1-3, 2016 at the Melbourne International Airport in Melbourne, Florida.

The Breitling Jet Team, based in Dijon, France, will perform at 16 air shows in the United States for their 2016 American Tour.

The seven aircraft team features some of the best retired European military pilots in the World. Unlike North American Teams that typically hold the same formation during each pass, their performance is more like an aerial symphony, transitioning between formations during several passes.

The finale maneuver of the team is an amazing seven ship flare launch break.

Aerobatic flight is a dazzling sight and one of the world’s most demanding disciplines.

It takes a concentrated blend of technique, mastery and style. Jet team aerobatics take it to an entirely different level with high speeds and close formations adding to the challenge of aerobatic flight. In order to share its passion for aerobatics, Breitling has created the Breitling Jet Team, the world’s largest professional civilian jet team.

With its fast and powerful aircraft piloted by flying aces, this unique aerobatics team illustrates the brand’s cherished values: performance, precision, sophistication and innovation.

Each appearance of the Breitling Jet Team is a breathtaking vision, The seven pilots of the Breitling Jet Team have logged over 50,000 combined flight hours in over 150 different aircraft.

They fly custom modified L-39 jets in a meticulously coordinated ballet where they sometimes fly within 10 feet of each other, at speeds of over 400 miles per hour.

Their performance is a rapid-fire succession of maneuvers that are perfectly calculated, mastered, synchronized and fine-tuned down to the smallest detail, exactly like a Breitling chronometer movement.
