BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The second annual Dancing For the Space Coast, a unique competition and fundraising event that benefits three worthy organizations on the Space Coast, will be held at Florida Tech’s Clemente Center on Saturday, June 4.

This year, Dancing For the Space Coast will benefit the Brevard Public Safety Charity, who has earmarked the proceeds to be distributed to the Foosner Art Museum, Sally’s House and AMI Kids.

Among those participating this year is Michelle Pearse, a dance instructor at Heather’s Dance Studio. She teaches all types of dance from ballet to tap ages two years to adult.

Pearse previously worked as a substance abuse counselor for the felony probation system. She graduated with a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Communication from the University of Central Florida, and has completed the Applied Behavior Analysis program at the Florida Institute of Technology.

Although Pearse spent several years as a professional water skier, she has been a dancer most of her life and has competed at ballroom and dance competitions across the state. Pearse also loves to compete and dance with her daughter.
