ABOVE VIDEO: Rita Pritchett, currently a two-term Titusville Council Member, is running for the Brevard County Commission District 1 seat.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Rita Pritchett, currently a two-term Titusville Council Member, is running for the Brevard County Commission District 1 seat.

Robin Fisher has served as commissioner for the last eight years in District 1 and will be terming out in November.

Pritchett has been a resident of Titusville for 48 years and attended Coquina Elementary, Imperial Estates Elementary, Jackson Middle School and graduated from Titusville High School in 1978.

She graduated from Brevard Community College with an Associates of Art and transferred to the University of Central Florida where she earned a Bachelors degree in Business and a Masters in Accounting.

Pritchett’s focus was on not-for-profit and governmental accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in the State of Florida.

Since 2008, Pritchett has been an instructor at Eastern Florida State College, where she teaches Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Accounting for Managers, Tax and Small Business Accounting classes.

Pritchett and her husband Dan have been married for 17 years and have six children: Matt, Aaron, Bethany, Cheryl, Lisa and Sandra and eight grandchildren: Jacob, Emilee, Hannah, Joshua, Malahki, Alexa, Julian, and Aiden.

Dan is an Insurance Agent, and is actively involved as a Minister at New Life Christian Fellowship.
