BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – We have an exciting month of June planned at the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary! We hope you will join us for some of the many programs and events we are offering.

All events are FREE unless otherwise noted!

The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary is located at 444 Columbia Blvd., Titusville.

Every Saturday at 10 a.m. – Guided Walk

Enjoy a 45-minute guided hike. Please bring hat, water and walking shoes. No reservation needed, unless you are a group of 5 or more.

Saturday, June 4, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. – FNPS Native Plant Sale and Pond Tour

The Florida Native Plant Society will be holding a native plant sale overlooking our pond. Purchase native plants to landscape your backyard, view our native plant pond, and learn some tips on how to create a native backyard habitat!

The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary is looking for dynamic individuals with a passion for the environment! Come learn about our various volunteer opportunities.

Wednesday, June 8, 10 a.m. – 10:45am – Nature Time for 2-3 Year Olds

June’s theme is Bees! Learn about native bees and the importance of pollinators through hands-on activities and a story. Spots limited. Please call 321.264.5185 to register.

Saturday, June 11, 2 p.m. – 2:30pm – Reptile & Snake Presentation

Learn about some of the Enchanted Forest’s reptile residents and meet live reptiles!

Friday, June 17, 2 p.m. – 2:30pm – Summer Science – Owl Pellet Dissection

Soar into the world of ornithology as you investigate owls, what they eat and how they digest their food. Program is recommended for ages 8 & up. Please register by calling 321.264.5185. Spots limited. $2.00 suggested donation to the Friends of the Enchanted Forest for supplies.

Saturday, June 18

9 a.m. – 11 a.m.– Photography Club

All levels of photographers welcome. View photographs and learn helpful tips during their monthly meeting.

8 p.m. – 10 p.m. – Night Voices Night Hike

Look and listen for local frogs and toads on a special summer night hike. Spots limited. Registration required, please call 321.264.5185. Please wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, mosquito repellant, and bring a flashlight. Being summer, there is a potential for high mosquito levels.

Sunday, June 19, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Forest Funday – Wetlands

Meet some wetland critters and create a fun craft. Children and families are invited to explore flowers with hands on experiments and a craft between 2:00pm and 4:00pm.

Wednesday, June 25, 6:30pm – 8:30pm – FNPS Sea Rocket Chapter Meeting – “Indian River Legacy”

Laurilee Thompson co-owner of Dixie Crossroads, founder of the SpaceCoast Birding and Wildlife Festival, environmentalist, and lagoon enthusiast will be telling stories and discussing life on the lagoon, as well as the importance of restoration of our nation’s estuaries. Light refreshments served at 6:30pm; meeting and presentation will start at 7:00pm.

Mark your calendars for our Annual Creepy Crawly Day on July 9, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

This year’s event will be longer, bigger, and even creepier than previous years!
