Melbourne Avenue Between Front Street and Depot Drive Closure Scheduled For May 23-26

As part of Florida Power and Light Company’s continuing storm hardening project, Melbourne Avenue between Front Street and Depot Drive will be closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic during daylight hours beginning Monday, May 23, and ending Thursday, May 26.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – As part of Florida Power and Light Company’s continuing storm hardening project, Melbourne Avenue between Front Street and Depot Drive will be closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic during daylight hours beginning Monday, May 23, and ending Thursday, May 26.

The street closing will allow construction crews to remove and reinstall transmission poles.

Advanced warning will be provided and traffic will be routed around the construction area by detour signage.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use New Haven Avenue to avoid the construction area.
