Melbourne Police Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects In Osceola After Vehicle Pursuit

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne police apprehended and arrested two suspects for armed robbery on Wednesday after a vehicle chase that started on Wickham Road, and ended in Osceola County.
The incident began about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon after Melbourne police officers received a report that an armed robbery had been committed at the Verizon Wireless store, located in the 925 N. Wickham Road.
According to the Melbourne police, two masked men were seen leaving the store on foot and then police located the suspects fleeing in a vehicle.
Officers gave chase and pursued the suspects in a high speed pursuit, with MPD units following the suspects westbound on U.S. 192 into Osceola County.
The pursuit was stopped after officers performed a precision immobilization technique (PIT) maneuver on the vehicle. According to police, there were no injuries to either the suspects or the officers.
The suspects, who have not yet been identified, were charged with Armed Robbery.
