VICTIM IDENTIFIED AS Keldon Peter Herne

Melbourne police officers were dispatched to the westbound lanes of the Eau Gallie Causeway early Friday morning about 1:06 a.m. in response to a single vehicle motorcycle crash.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police officers were dispatched to the westbound lanes of the Eau Gallie Causeway early Friday morning about 1:06 a.m. in response to a single vehicle motorcycle crash.

Melbourne police identified the victim as 32-year-old Keldon Peter Herne of Melbourne.

According to police, the motorcycle and Herne were located in the roadway on the east base of the causeway and the victim was dead upon arrival.

The Melbourne Traffic Homicide Unit and a Crime Scene Unit responded and this crash is still under investigation.
