SpaceX Launch Successfully Launches From Cape Canaveral, Rocket Makes Third Straight Landing

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch  was a success on Friday as the Falcon 9 lifted off at 5:39 p.m. ET from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. 

Additionally, SpaceX’s rocket made a successful landing on a drone ship in the Atlantic for the third consecutive time.

Thaicom 8 will provide Ku-band broadcast and data services to Thailand, Southeast Asia, India and Africa.

The launch was moved forward from June and was scrubbed Thursday before Friday’s launch.

The rocket is carrying a communications satellite that weighs nearly 7,000 lbs.
