Neighbor of Michelle N. Smith observed her walk into her apartment and notified the police, according to Melbourne Police Department.

UPDATE: Neighbor of Michelle N. Smith observed her walk into her apartment and notified the police, according to Melbourne Police Department.

An officer responded and made contact with Smith, who stated that she had left on her own free will and had been staying with friends the last several days.

Smith was unaware that she had reported missing and was in good mental and physical condition.

The Silver Alert for Smith was cancelled and her loved ones were notified of her return.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne police is seeking Endangered Missing Adult 31-year-old Michelle N. Smith.

She was last seen when she left her apartment in Melbourne, on foot around 9 a.m. Saturday morning, and has not been seen since.

Her only known mode of travel is on foot.

“She could not be located after an extensive area check and the use of the BCSO helicopter,” said Melbourne Police Lt. T.A. Turner in a release.
