ORLANDO, FLORIDA (SeaWorld) – Over a couple months ago SeaWorld reported on the poor health status of SeaWorld’s famous Killer Whale ‘Tilikum.’

A lot of fans have been asking for another Tilikum update, so we’re back with the latest from Director of Animal Training Kelly Flaherty-Clark.

While our teams continue to treat him with care and medication for what we believe is a bacterial infection in his lungs, we are encouraged by some improvement in his lab tests.

Tilikum has been part of SeaWorld for 23 years.
