BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I’d like to congratulate Assistant State Attorney Thomas (Tom) Brown on his appointment as County Judge by Governor Rick Scott earlier this week.

Tom has served as a prosecutor in my office since 1993 and most recently as a Division Chief of a unit specializing in homicide prosecutions. Tom has earned the respect of his colleagues, the Court and those he has represented with his thoughtful and committed approach to his duties and the law.

I know that Tom will bring his same dedication, outstanding personal character and compassion for everyone seeking justice, to his new role as County Judge.

While he will be truly missed here, the citizens of Brevard County will be well served by him and I look forward to his continued leadership in the 18th Judicial Circuit.

– Phil Archer, State Attorney
