Brevard School Board Candidates Forum Set Thursday In Downtown Melbourne

The Space Coast Progressive Alliance, in cooperation with the League of Women Voters of the Space Coast, will host a Brevard School Board Candidates Forum on Thursday 2 at the Front Street Civic Center, located on 2205 Front Street in downtown Melbourne.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Progressive Alliance, in cooperation with the League of Women Voters of the Space Coast, will host a Brevard School Board Candidates Forum on Thursday 2 at the Front Street Civic Center, located on 2205 Front Street in downtown Melbourne.

The moderator of the forum, which will start at 6:30 p.m., is Fran Baer, co-president of the League of Women Voters of the Space Coast. The panelist will be Dan Bennett, first vice president of the Brevard Federation of Teachers.

The forum is free and open to the public and donations are accepted.

According to the Space Coast Progressive Alliance, six of the eight candidates are confirmed to participate in the forum:

DISTRICT 3 CANDIDATES (Satellite Beach to Palm Bay):

• Darcy Addo
• Richard Charbonneau
• William ‘Larry’ Finch

DISTRICT 4 CANDIDATES (Rockledge to North Melbourne):

• Karen Henderson
• Dean Paterakis
• Matt Susin

A Straw Poll will be conducted by the Supervisor of Elections.

The Space Coast Progressive Alliance is an advocate for the Greater Public Interest on issues important to us all.

“We advance progressive policies that further civil and personal liberty, the environment, health care, education, labor, peace, social welfare, financial stability and international harmony,” according to the Space Coast Progressive Alliance on their website.
