52-year-old man dies at the scene

Titusville Fire responded to a report of a structure fire at 1390 Thorton Avenue on Monday at about 4:02 p.m. One person was found deceased, along with at least one pet.

Titusville Fire Department is currently on scene of a deadly motorcycle crash that has claimed the life of one person near Harrison St. and S. Washington off U.S. 1.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Fire Department is currently on scene of a deadly motorcycle crash that has claimed the life of a 52-year-old man near Harrison St. and S. Washington off U.S. 1.

According to officials, the driver of  the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Washington Ave. when he collided with a pole after veering into the median.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Northbound and Southbound Washington Ave. off U.S. 1 were closed at Harrison Street for around two hours as crews finished cleanup of the scene, according to Titusville Police.

The identity of the person will not be released until the next of kin is notified.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to police.
