BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is seeking to identify the above scam suspects.

On Saturday at around 9 p.m., the suspects in the surveillance photographs entered the Publix located at 7325 North US Highway 1, Cocoa.

The suspects then approached the customer service counter and asked the clerk for change. The suspects distracted and attempted to confuse the clerk in an effort to take more money than they were given back, according to Cpl. Dave Jacobs of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

It was later discovered the suspects were able to obtain an undisclosed amount of cash during the exchange.

Sheriff’s Investigators have worked with Publix Loss Prevention Officers and found similar incidents have occurred within multiple jurisdictions throughout Brevard County, according to Cpl. Jacobs.
