Major baseball continued Thursday night at Holder Park. Port St. John Little League met Rockledge Little League and after the dust cleared, Port St. John had a 9-2 victory in 6 innings.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Major baseball continued Thursday night at Holder Park.

Port St. John Little League (visitors) met Rockledge Little League and after the dust cleared, Port St. John had a 9-2 victory in 6 innings.

At McKnight Family Sports Complex, The Rockledge Little League (visitors) Major softball team won in 6 innings over Mims Little League 15-7. For Rockledge, Brianna O’Connor had a triple while Emily Skewes went 4-for-5 and Henna O’Bryhim went 3-for-4 at the plate.

Also at McKnight, Junior baseball saw North Merritt Island Little League (visitors) and Rockledge Little League battle for 7 full innings with Rockledge coming out with a 15-14 win. For North Merritt Island, C. Townsend had a triple while Rockledge’s T. Windham also had a triple. With the series tied at 1 win each, tomorrow’s game will determine the Junior baseball Champion for District 22.

Junior softball continued at Stradley Park with Cocoa Little League (visitors) meeting North Merritt Island. North Merritt Island’s Hailiegh Stephenson went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, a triple and 2 RBI, while Pilar Egge pitched a 4-hit shutout in their 10-0 victory in 4 1/2 innings. This sets up tomorrow’s third game in the series as the determining game.

Also at Stradley, Cocoa Little League (visitors) and North Merritt Island Little League met in senior baseball. North Merritt Island’s Matt Robertson hit a 3-run homer, but it wasn’t enough as Cocoa won 10-9 in 7 full innings. Tomorrow’s third game between these two teams will decide the Champions in this division for District 22.
