VICTIM FOUND BY MELBOURNE POLICE

Melbourne police officers patrolling the area of Gibbs Street and Monroe Street early Tuesday morning at 12:49 a.m. heard the sounds of gunshots and discovered a male teenage victim while searching the area.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police officers patrolling the area of Gibbs Street and Monroe Street early Tuesday morning at 12:49 a.m. heard the sounds of gunshots and discovered a male teenage victim while searching the area.

According to Melbourne Police Lt. Shawn Eising, the victim was found to have suffered several gunshot wounds, however, he remained alert during the investigation.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
