“This will be a truly special Havenly Affair,” says Vimarie Monopli, Director of Development for The Haven for Children.

“A chance to bring together our generous community of supporters and reflect on all that has been accomplished over the last 30 years, and to announce some exciting things happening at The Haven in the near future.”

“The Haven is a family,” says Madeline Cales the chair for the 2016 Havenly Affair.

“And, this is our family reunion.  We are planning a unique afternoon that combines rustic chic with southern charm for an affair you won’t want to miss!”

The Haven for Children began as a project of the Junior League of South Brevard, and was formally founded in the fall of 1986.

Six months later, in April of 1987 they opened the doors to the first residential group home. Today The Haven consists of three homes and has cared for over 3,500 children.
