BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – At noon on Friday, I was notified by the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Office that I was the only candidate who announced or qualified to run for Sheriff of Brevard County in the 2016 Election Cycle.

As such, I am blessed and honored to be re-elected as Sheriff of Brevard County, and to have the opportunity to continue to work alongside the incredible men and women of your Sheriffs Office.

While I am truly humbled to have earned your trust, I personally believe that being re-elected without opposition is actually a testament and direct result of the hard work, professionalism, and dedication of the members of your Brevard County Sheriff’s Office!!

I know firsthand the level of commitment that each employee puts forth each and every day while protecting our community and I firmly believe that today, our citizens demonstrated their trust and love for our agency in their actions of re-electing us to office without opposition.

Without question we are truly blessed to serve as Law Enforcement Officers in Brevard County where our citizens have partnered with us to protect our community and to keep Brevard County a great place to call home!!

By working together with our citizens during the past three and a half years we have lowered our Crime Rate by almost 14%, developed new and innovative programs that are the first of their kind in the nation, and demonstrated that we are one of the most progressive and professional agencies in the country.

None of that happens without the commitment and passion of our members and our citizens who are partners with us in protecting our community!!

In addition I am happy to share with you that our agency operates as the most efficient Law Enforcement and Corrections Agency in all of Central Florida while developing a reputation for being tough on crime, but even tougher on criminals.

We have taken on new challenges by taking over School Security, the Port, and even Animal Control while maintaining our primary focus of protecting our citizens. And through it all, we have welcomed hundreds of new members to our agency and said goodbye to many iconic figures who retired after dedicating nearly their entire lives to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and our citizens.

I want you to know that while I have always enjoyed my Law Enforcement career, there is nothing in my professional life that I am more proud of than being a member of our agency and having the opportunity to serve as your Brevard County Sheriff!! More than anything else, I am humbled and proud to serve alongside the 1,500 proud men and women of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office who I call family.
