BREVARD COUNTY, KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLORIDA – Join Buzz Aldrin’s ShareSpace Foundation as they celebrate the anniversary of Apollo 11’s moon landing with a black-tie event at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

George Takei, best known for his role as Mr. Sulu in Star Trek: The Original Series), will join Buzz to host this special black-tie event.

Featuring fellow Star Trek alumna Nichelle Nichols (Uhura), long-time space news reporter John Zarrella (CNN), who will serve as the evening’s emcee, and NASA astronauts from each era of manned space flight, this Gala will celebrate the 47th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 mission as well as the 50th anniversary of Star Trek: The Original Series.

 

During the evening you will have the opportunity to:

  • View NASA’s restricted property (such as the launch pads and Vehicle Assembly Building)
  • Enjoy a reception and open bar
  • Receive an exclusive professional photo with specials hosts
  • Dine underneath one of the only remaining Saturn V rockets in the world
