BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott reminds Brevard citizens who want to vote in the upcoming August 30 Primary Election that the deadline to register is Monday, August 1 at 5 p.m.

Voter Registration Applications are available on VoteBrevard.com, in all four Election Administrative Offices and all county libraries.

Applications must be received or postmarked by the August 1 deadline.

“Florida is a closed primary state,” said Scott.

“This means, in Primary elections, voters will receive the ballot that corresponds to their political party affiliation on file in the Supervisor of Elections office.”

The August 1 deadline is the last day for registered voters to change their political party affiliation for it to be effective in the August 30 Primary.

Voters wishing to change their political party affiliation may do so by submitting an updated Voter Registration Application.
