Florida Tech Holds Vendor Fair August 16-17, Welcomes New and Returning Students

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA –Florida Institute of Technology is offering an opportunity for vendors in the Brevard County area to display their services during the university’s orientation week.

The outdoor fair will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16 and Wednesday, Aug. 17, on Science Circle, located next to Gleason Performing Arts Center, WFIT and the Crawford Building on the Florida Tech campus in Melbourne. Set-up starts at 9 a.m.

The vendor fee of $150 covers both days and includes a 10-foot by 10-foot space, one 8-foot table and two chairs. 

During this busy week, Florida Tech will welcome more than 2,000 new and returning students and their parents back to campus. In the past, representatives of hotels, cell phone providers, medical providers and local attractions presented at the vendor fair.

Restaurants will be allowed again this year to participate in the fair. While they are prohibited from selling food or beverages, they may distribute promotional items and coupons or offer activities for student and parents.
