BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police have arrested a group of individuals after police say the suspects were wanted for a recent armed robbery. The suspects led police on a car chase that resulted with the vehicle crashing into a tree in a residential neighborhood, according to law enforcement officials.

The suspects’ vehicle matched the description of one vehicle connected to a robbery at a Palm Bay 7-Eleven earlier this week, according to officials.

An officer approached the occupants of the vehicle about the connection, however, the suspects then sped off.

When the vehicle crashed into a tree, the suspects scattered, reportedly, five suspects fled the vehicle with police giving chase on-foot.

According to reports, three of the five suspects were arrested a short while later, police are still searching for the other two suspects.

The three suspects arrested have not yet been identified but are described as three men.

According to authorities, one suspect had a gun when he fled the vehicle but police were only able to locate the magazine for the gun. Police are still searching.
