BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police Officers responded to the Monkey Bar in reference to a disturbance involving a suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Mikhael Walker, who reportedly discharged a firearm in the parking lot and then left the scene in a silver Audi, according to Lt. Shawn Eising.

When officers arrived on scene they determined a fight had taken place in the parking lot and business employees attempted to disperse the group.

According to Lt. Eising, Walker, who was involved, began driving away in a silver Audi then exited his vehicle prior to leaving the parking lot and discharged a single round from a handgun.

He subsequently threatened a business employee, verbally, who was calling police. Walker’s vehicle had apparently been left in gear and continued forward until it struck a parked vehicle.

Walker regained control of the vehicle, backed into a second parked vehicle and then fled the scene south on A1A, according to Lt. Eising.

Officers from Indialantic Police Department located the vehicle heading west over the Melbourne Causeway and coordinated a traffic stop with the assistance of Melbourne Police Officers.
