BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Following the tragic killing of five Dallas Police officers and Dallas Area Rapid Transit officers during a Black Lives Matters rally in downtown Dallas on Thursday, local members of the Melbourne community felt compelled to reach out and show their appreciation for the men and women of the Melbourne Police Department.

Thank you for the outpouring of love, generosity (even the donuts, lol) and the overwhelming support shown to us by our community.
Your visits, your calls, your cards and your expressions of generosity is ‘simply awesome’!!! Your kindness has greatly lifted the spirits of the men and women of the Melbourne Police Department. We feel your support!
As we grieve and remember the dedicated officers from Dallas PD and DART that gave their lives and those that were wounded, we are humbled and appreciative for the local support that we have received.
We can’t express how much your support means to us and the Law Enforcement Community on a day-to-day basis during these challenging times. Your involvement and support makes us a “stronger community” and nation.
