BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Republican Party of Brevard’s Council of Clubs Family Picnic and Straw Poll was held Sunday at the Melbourne Auditorium.

“This was a great opportunity for Brevard voters to meet and greet elected officials and candidates, who all had the opportunity to speak,” said Barbara Davis, Chairman of the Republican Party of Brevard.

The Supervisor of Elections was on hand to conduct a straw poll in which 658 votes were cast.

UNITED STATES SENATOR: Marco Rubio, 411; Carlos Beruff, 105; Dwight Young, 33; Ernie Rivera, 19.

STATE SENATOR, DISTRICT 17: Debbie Mayfield, 300; Ritch Workman: 198; Mike Thomas, 83.

STATE REPRESENTATIVE, DISTRICT 50: George Collins, 256; Rene Plasencia, 169.

STATE REPRESENTATIVE, DISTRICT 51: Tom Goodson, 297; Tim Tumulty, 162.
