Space Coast Gator Club To Award $15,000 In Scholarships At Kickoff Party

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Gator Club will be awarding $15,000 in scholarships to incoming University of Florida students at it’s annual Football Kickoff Party.

Guest speaker Pat Dooley from the Gainesville Sun newspaper will be previewing the 2016 Gator football team and taking questions from the attendees. Dooley has covered UF sports since 1987.

All incoming freshmen heading to UF are invited to attend for free as part of the club’s student sendoff party. Brevard County School Superintendent and UF graduate Dr. Desmond Blackburn will address the students.

The Kickoff Party will take place on August 13th at 5:00 pm at the Wickham Park Community Center, 2815 Leisure Way, Melbourne.

The event is open to all Gator fans. A buffet dinner will be served and a cash bar will be available. Several Gator vendors will be selling their latest items.

The club will also be holding raffles and silent auctions to benefit it’s scholarship fund.

Tickets are $20 for Gator Club members and $25 for non members.

All incoming students are admitted for free.
