Two Juvenile Suspects Arrested For Carjacking With Firearm of 57-Year-Old Woman

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Two 16-year-old males, both of Cocoa, were arrested for attempting to carjack a 57-year-old adult female of Cape Canaveral, in the parking lot of 75 N. Orlando Avenue in Cocoa Beach on Tuesday evening at about 10:30 p.m.
“The victim was in her red 2015 Kia when two to three male subjects approached her vehicle,” said Cocoa Beach Police Sgt. Manny Hernandez in a release.
“It is alleged that one male pointed what appeared to be a weapon/gun at her and demanded she exit the vehicle. The victim was able to drive off and call 9-1-1. Based off the description provided, Cocoa Beach police located (the suspects) a short time later in the area of Bahama Boulevard in Cocoa Beach.”
One suspect was charged with Carjacking with a Firearm and Violation of Probation, the second suspect was charged with Carjacking with a Firearm-Principle in the First Degree and Violation of Probation.
Both suspects were transported to the Brevard County Juvenile Detention Center on a “no bond” status.
