(WFTV) – Published reports indicate Central Florida Rep. Corrine Brown was indicted on charges stemming from her involvement with a defunct charity. Channel 9’s congressional sources confirmed the information.
Brown has been at the center of an investigation for months.
The indictment is expected to be unsealed sometime before 1 p.m. Friday.
9 Investigates has been following the story for almost a year.
Investigative reporter Christopher Heath said Brown was served with a federal subpoena in January in connection with a charity to which she was connected that investigators said was mainly used to raise and spend money for political purposes.
