CRUISERCHOICE.COM – Port Canaveral is the second busiest cruise port in the world and is keeping up a fast pace in growth for its cargo operations.
Its idea of building new terminals for cruise ships attracted a lot of new business and jobs to Brevard County, Florida.
Port Canaveral is also earning a the reputation of becoming the People’s Port for its fast embarkment and disembarkment procedures.
It was once a small port with two or three cruise ships at maximum capacity. Today, there’s more ships and cruise lines than ever before.
The port has also become big business in a small town with major investments to infrastructure while maintaining a competitive edge in both cruise sector.
An increase in revenue for 2016 has allowed the Port Authority to reinvest into its facilities.
The Carnival Magic has moved to Port Canaveral, and the Norwegian Epic will arrive in November. Royal Caribbean will also send its Oasis of the Seas later this year. All three ships will make Port Canaveral its new homeport.
